While 2013's World War Z was a big surprise hit for Paramount, it's been really difficult for the studio to pick up the pace on the development of a sequel, but now it seems a deal is closing in, and it's with iconic director David Fincher at the helm.
The sequel has been in trouble ever since director Juan Antonio Bayona dropped out early last year, and because of this, the film was pulled from the studio's upcoming slate. However, according to IGN, it's star Brad Pitt that has been pushing to get David Fincher on board to direct, and apparently Fincher also has a close relationship with new Paramount CEO Jim Gianopulos.
According to the rumour, a deal will soon be struck, but it's currently unknown when production is expected to begin. What would you like to see from a World War Z sequel?
