Alien Isolation was released pretty quietly in 2014, but Creative Assembly's horror title became a hit with fans, and nearly three years after its debut on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, the latest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine UK has reported on a rumour that the developer is working on another Alien game.
PlayStation Magazine says (via PlayStation Universe): "Our sources tell us that after work is finished on Halo Wars 2, a new Alien game may start development over at Alien: Isolation dev Creative Assembly".
It's clear that this news should be taken with a pinch of salt, but it has got people excited for a potential sequel. Do you think Alien: Isolation would benefit from a sequel?
Update: Since this original rumour emerged, another report has been published saying that Alien: Isolation 2 isn't in development, even though the Halo Wars 2 team are prototyping another project.
The report also says that most of the Alien: Isolation design team don't work at Creative Assembly any more. "Currently the studio is fully focused on the development of Total War: Warhammer 2 and other as yet unannounced projects," Sega explained.
What do you expect from this new project, if it's not an Alien game?
