There's a new ZX Spectrum Kickstarter...

...and this one looks promising.

The Sinclair ZX Spectrum holds a special place in many an old gamer heart, and in many ways, it helped established the British development scene back in the day.

Nostalgia has proven key in many successful Kickstarter campaigns, and so The ZX Spectrum Next, essentially a juiced up and modernised take on the classic console, that will run all the old software, has an HDMI port, and will let you plug in any old ZX Spectrum peripherals, launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund production over the weekend.

It looks as if backers haven't been too turned off by previous, not very successful, Kickstarter campaigns for Spectrum products (we're looking at you, Sinclair ZX Spectrum Vega Plus), and the campaign is already fully funded to its original target of £250,000.

We think it looks pretty sweet, what do you think and do you want ZX Spectrum back in your life?
