The Surge's developer Deck 13 and publisher Focus Home Interactive have announced that the game has officially gone gold on PC, PS4, and Xbox One ahead of its release on May 16.
The PS4 Pro updates for the game have also been detailed, one of which will be free and "available on time for the release of the game," providing support for dynamic 4K at 30 FPS and 60 FPS at 1080p. A later update will then enable HDR support.
