There's been a lot of news about Star Wars Battlefront II recently, from the release of the full reveal trailer to the box art, and we recently heard Motive Studios game director Mark Thompson talk about the game, where he revealed some more about the game and its settings.

"In the movies we have always been fed stories from the Rebels' perspective but in Battlefront 2 we want to let the player become part of the Empire and show that they are also people who fight under the conviction of what they consider to be terrorists," he said. "We want to give the player the chance to become a new hero and Lucasfilm liked our idea from the very beginning and since then we started developing 16 months ago working with us to build a brew purely storytelling between The Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens."

He also goes on to talk about the new planet in the game, the one we've seen in the trailer. "The new planet we created is Iden's home planet and a kind of Utopia for the Empire where she grew up," he explained. "Here, the player will return in turns and we worked hard to create a unique graphic identity for the environments here."

Thompson also said in the same talk that Battlefront II is about "Force, Friends, Faith and Family," so take from that what you will. Which aspect of Star Wars Battlefront II are you most excited for?
