Nintendo has previously said that the release of the Switch doesn't change their portable plans for Nintendo 3DS and that both should co-exist, but this hasn't prevented speculation about whether this is true or not. Now a Bloomberg report says that Citigroup believe Nintendo will release a smaller version of the Switch next year.
This is what was said about the potential dedicated portable unit: "Although the Nintendo Switch can be used as a handheld device, we think smaller children could struggle to use it comfortably in that format due to its size and weight. Accordingly, we think Nintendo will launch a lighter, dedicated handheld version of the Switch, possibly to be called the Switch Mini."
Do you think Citigroup might be on to something here?
