People love finding easter eggs, and not just the chocolate ones either. In video games there are always some easter eggs to find, whether it be a nod to another game or something just really cool hidden away somewhere, but rarely do you see easter eggs in real life.

As reported by Motherboard, the new 10 dollar bill from the Bank of Canada was advertised on Friday, and the website contains one such real life easter egg, as the Konami code was planted on there, as noticed by Kotaku Australia.

Basically, if you enter up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, and A on your keyboard, virtual bills start raining down on your screen and the Canadian national anthem comes up. This code has been in many a game before, but never really been deployed like this.

"Konami code seemed like a fun way for the web team to celebrate Canada's [150th anniversary]," a spokesperson said about the easter egg, saying that they "love Nintendo and 8-bit music."

We know what you're all thinking - where can you try this easter egg out? The answer is: right here. What are some of your favourite easter eggs?

Here's a screenshot of the easter egg in action.
