After the initial reveal of the specs for the Project Scorpio, our report of which you can read here, Digital Foundry also explained in another video how games will be impacted by the Scorpio, and performance is a big part of this.

The Scorpio will take existing games and make them perform even better, for example, and while it can't increase the frame-rate of games, it can make them hit their target frame-rates more consistently, with the example of Mass Effect: Andromeda used, as that game's target is 30 FPS, but this drops when in intense sections or firefights. The Scorpio should also complete eliminate screen tearing in backwards compatibility too.

How important is frame-rate to you when you're playing a game?
