For Honor was released to much critical acclaim in February, but almost two months on, players aren't happy. Steam reviews from players show the game as 'mostly negative', but it doesn't seem to be down to the actual game being bad. Players cite a lot of connection issues as the main reason, but there's also been a lot of recent controversy around how easy it is to earn Steel, the in-game currency used to buy cosmetic items. Ubisoft have since increased the rate, but it seems to be too little too late.

Most games improve after launch, especially in the case of recent reviews on Steam, but For Honor is an anomaly in this trend. The player base has severely dropped since launch and it continues to dwindle, despite Ubisoft's best efforts to keep the community active. Nobody saw this coming since the actual release was so positive, so it will be interesting to see if Ubisoft can entice players back to the game.

This isn't the first time For Honor has come under fire either, as last month many players were upset over how long it took to earn all the unlockables, with Ubisoft's response not doing much to help that. What can Ubisoft do to improve For Honor?
