It's rumoured that both Forza Motorsport 7 and Red Dead Redemption 2 will be among the games Microsoft uses to demonstrate the capabilities of Xbox Scorpio when it's time for the official announcement. Forza is supposedly the title that will be used to show off what the console is capable of in terms of graphics, and 4K specifically.
According to the same source, the heavily delayed Crackdown 3 and State of Decay 2 will also be at the yet-to-be-announced event, and there will also be third party outfits besides Rockstar's western adventure. The new Call of Duty title (reportedly based on the second world war) will be shown, as will Star Wars Battlefront 2, together with Madden and FIFA.
There will be a big selection of native 4K games available when Scorpio launches later this year, and all Xbox One games running between 900p-1080p to Xbox One will be scaled to 4K. Scorpio will also have a 4K Blu-ray player (like Xbox One S), which Microsoft has previously confirmed.
Earlier today we reported another rumor stating that the specifications of Xbox Scorpio will be released this week, which means we hopefully won't have to wait much longer to see what it's capable of. Can the Scorpio's increased graphical capabilities ensure its success?
Thanks, Windows Central.
