Dota 2 workshop artists claim they're getting less pay

Valve's changes are allegedly to blame.

A subreddit for Dota 2 has revealed that the Steam workshop for the game is having tough times at the moment, and the group of artists behind the post say that the changes made by Valve are to blame for this.

The artists claim their income has decreased by six times in the last few years, due to how the profits are distributed from various places items are sold, and this is one of the big reasons they think they can't do this as a job any more. They also claim that nothing from the Battle Pass sales is reaching the artists either, so they only get money from chests.

"Everyone has been reluctant to speak publicly about what's going on. A fear of the consequences of speaking out has been a very real thing," they explain. "The Dota 2 team has, over the past year, become increasingly faceless, unresponsive and impossible to communicate with. We've tried continuously to reach out to the Dota 2 team, Gabe Newell and Erik Johnson about these concerns over the past six months, but we have received no response."

The post also claims that the same issues don't exist with fellow Valve title Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and they want change for the future, otherwise they're going to have to stop doing what they're doing. How do you think these issues can be fixed?

Thanks, PCGamesN.
