Fans disappointed by gay options in Mass Effect: Andromeda

In particular, male relationships.

Mass Effect: Andromeda has been the focus of heated debate on several forums recently (NeoGAF, Reddit, and so on), and these have revolved around the different romances that players can create between the protagonist (Sara or Scott Ryder) and some characters in the game.

In particular, what has disappointed many fans is the fact that there are only two options for gay romances for male characters, while the heterosexual and lesbian options are far more readily available.

The aspect that has most disappointed fans is that the only two men with whom you can flirt or have a relationship are secondary characters: the smuggler Reyes Vidal and the engineer Gil Brodie (the latter works aboard your ship). In addition, neither of them offer long or interesting dialogue options, and the sex scenes between male characters lack detail and are too fast for some, unlike heterosexual and lesbian scenes.
