We often see things change during development when a game gets announced far ahead of its release. Visuals are tweaked, gameplay mechanics are added or removed, and in some cases even platforms get changed. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has now fallen into the latter category.

Koji Igarashi has announced that they've decided to cancel the Wii U version of the game, and instead make a Nintendo Switch version, which isn't exactly all that surprising as the game is slated to launch next year, and many people are already calling the Wii U dead in the water.

Kickstarter backers who chose the Wii U as their platform of choice now have the option to change to any of the other versions, or request a refund. Does Castlevania: Symphony of the Night's spiritual successor sound like a good fit for the hybrid console?
