Rumours emerge regarding troubled Mass Effect development

An anonymous source claims it wasn't smooth sailing for Bioware.

A person that claims to be an ex-VFX Artist at Bioware Montreal, who allegedly worked there for five years, has shared some interesting claims regarding the development of Mass Effect: Andromeda, which might make it easier to understand why it's received generally lower grades than the previous titles.

Amongst other things, it's claimed that Bioware Edmonton and Montreal (the two main studios) had a hard time working with each other with "lots of conflicts and bro culture". Bioware Montreal especially seems to have suffered from big internal problems and, according to the source, they "lost over 13 leads (game design, art, audio, prog, senior core leads, etc) in 5 years". There are also a lot of complaints on how the staff was treated during the development, especially during later stages.

Take all this with a grain of salt since it's from an anonymous source, but we do know of leads leaving the development and nothing of this sounds outside the realms of possibility.

What do you make of this? Did Mass Effect: Andromeda suffer troubled development?

Thanks, NeoGAF.
