Yesterday we wrote about the layoffs at Raven Software, but it seems like they are not the only company in Activision's stable that is in trouble. Today sources told Kotaku that 30 people have been let go from Robomodo, developers of Tony Hawk: Ride and upcoming Tony Hawk: Shred, and that another 30 will be told to go today.

Supposedly this is related to the Tony Hawk-franchise being taken away from the studio. While Activision won't comment, Kotaku managed to get a statement from Robomodo themselves.

"It is always difficult to let hard-working and valued employees go," president Josh Tsui. "Robomodo has retained all of the company's directors and leads, along with other staff members. All are busy working on future projects and ideas, which will become the innovative games of tomorrow. We hope to bring back some of our team as we ramp up on our next projects."

The infamous skateboard peripheral, used for Tony Hawk: Ride and Tony Hawk: Shred.
