According to a report from SuperData, the Nintendo Switch has already sold over 1.5 million units worldwide. The research group arrived at this number via stats shared by Famitsu and GfK, stating that Nintendo's new console has sold 500,000 in the US, and 360,00 in Japan. France is reportedly the European country where the console is having a big impact, with over 110,00 units sold, while the U.K. is at 85,000 units.

According to SuperData, Nintendo's goal of selling two million units before March's end is likely to be achieved, especially considering Nintendo is aiming at sales to retailers, while SuperData numbers refer to sales to consumers. As for software, 89% of Switch owners have reportedly bought The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to go along with their shiny new console.

How high can these sales stretch?
