1,500 For Honor AFK farmers were banned yesterday alone

The developer isn't stopping there.

AFK farming in For Honor happens when players keep their character moving while not actually playing (i.e. with something leaning on the analogue stick) in order to gain end-game rewards, and earlier this month Ubisoft made clear that this was not okay, and that they'd be taking steps against those caught doing it. The developer has revealed via Reddit the extent of the measures they're taking.

"We communicated earlier this month about how we're fighting AFK farming and how the For Honor team takes this issue very seriously," the post starts by saying. "A first wave of warnings has been sent earlier last week, and the first wave of banning was performed today. Also, a new wave of warnings has been sent simultaneously."

Then Ubisoft talked numbers, as yesterday alone, roughly 1,500 players got a ban of three days for engaging in AFK farmers, and 4,000 new offenders have been identified and will receive a warning too.

"Using a cheat engine to exploit AFK farming is against our Code of Conduct, and these impacted players may get a permaban for cheating," Ubisoft reiterated. "In all cases, impacted players will receive an official email detailing their sanction and the reason behind it."

Ubisoft also wanted to remind users of their community values:

"Honor: Fight, win and lose with Honor. Support your teammates.
Respect: Respect your opponents and other community members, inside and outside the game.
Share: Share your experience, share tips and hints, spread the word!"

Do you think a three day ban is reasonable?
