Man of Steel was an important film for Warner Bros. and DC Comics, cementing their way into a superhero cinematic universe with a box office success. The sequel then became Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but obviously Superman himself is still due a sequel, and that's reportedly happening without the involvement of Zack Snyder.
According to an as-of-yet unconfirmed report by Collider, Warner Bros. is currently in talks with Kingsman: Secret Service and X-Man: First Class director Matthew Vaughn to direct the upcoming sequel.
New Warner Bros. president Toby Emmerich is said to be particularly interested in hiring Vaughn's talents, and he was also the main force behind the hiring of Matt Reeves for the upcoming Batman film.
Are you happy with Vaughn helming the Man of Steel sequel?
