Star Trek: Beyond, the third chapter in the rebooted Star Trek franchise, was loved by fans and critics alike, but failed to do much damage at the box office, throwing the series' future into speculation.
It seems that the series is still very much alive, however, as Viacom, the company that owns Paramount Studios, recently took part in an investors event with Deutsche Bank, and here Viacom CEO Robert M. Bakish said (via TrekMovie), that Star Trek remains a tent pole within the company.
There's been rumours of a fourth instalment, but this is the first concrete sign of it happening since the release of Beyond. Do you think there's still life in this film franchise?
