King Art's action RPG The Dwarves was released in November last year (you can check out our review here), and now a new major update has been launched for the game, "adding a complete new gameplay experience," according to the press release.

The Challenges, firstly, give players three different game modes. The first is Horde Mode, which, as you can expect, involved fighting wave after waves of enemies that grow in difficulty and number. Time Challenge is another mode, requiring players to kill enemies quickly, and Chase asks players to capture an Orc with his rucksack, all "while hacking and slashing through his [or her] comrades."

These new modes can all be accessed via the main menu, and players earn points in these modes to unlock all of the 15 heroes in the game to use in these Challenges. A high score leaderboard is also featured, to keep track of who's doing best.

The patch is live now, and full patch notes have also been provided:

Patch notes:
- New game modes: three different Challenges on six maps
- Three new achievements for the new challenges
- New campaign difficulty mode: Very Easy
- Engine update: performance upgrade in many scenes
- Divided display language and subtitle option
- Turkish language added (Subtitles / OnScreen-Text)
- Optimised camera collision

Windows/Mac/Linux only:
- Additional graphics settings
- Free Key Bindings

Is this update enough to draw players back to the game who had stopped playing it?
