There have been rumours about a new entry in Capcom's Dino Crisis series for a while now, but it doesn't seem to be happening any time soon. In a recent interview with the Daily Star, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard producer Masachika Kawata, who has worked on all three Dino Crisis titles, said that he knows nothing about any plans on reviving the fan favourite dino series.

When asked if he could see the PlayStation 1 classic making a return Kawata said: "There's not currently any conversations happening [at Capcom] that I'm aware of." Kawata himself would love to see a "Dino Crisis with modern gaming technology," however, and still has "a hope in my heart" that Capcom could one day would take the opportunity to bring back the survival horror game.

Is Dino Crisis up there with the best PS1 games that deserve a reboot?
