Last year's vote by the British public on whether to remain or leave the European Union will result in Brexit taking place at some still to be determined point in the future. It's a move that'll have far-reaching consequences, and the video game industry is one of those that'll be affected by the change.

The looming exit has recently been the chief topic of discussion over at Ukie, the UK industry's chief trade body. The organisation has been liaising with prominent UK-based game developers and industry leaderes, and the findings of those discussions have been assembled as part of a new report called State of Play.

You can download the full report should you wish, but the main takeaway is that leading figures in the industry want to make sure that talented game developers can easily work in the UK, and that trade and the flow of data between the UK and the rest of the Europe isn't overly disrupted. There's also calls for a possible reconsideration of the way the industry is supported by public funding. Head this way to read the report.
