Panasonic, it seems, are actually hard at work at a brand new console (a part of the electronics industry they haven't touched since their 3DO-system toppled over in 1996). It looks as if it's going to be called Jungle, will come backed up with some form of viral campaign (already hard at work at this highly annoying website) and will primarily be focusing on games in the cloud - the game so far confirmed to be involved is BigPoint's Battlestar Galactica, which is a browser based MMO game.
According to TechCrunch, the part of Panasonic involved is called Panasonic Cloud Entertainment (PCENT) and now we'll just have to wait and see if the company will offer up much more information about the Jungle over the next couple of days. But a couple of eyebrows have been lifted today, that's for sure.
