Halo 5: Guardians and 343 Industries got a lot of heat for not including split screen in the game. Back then they claimed it was because it wasn't worth including as most players played cooperative online, but they've now realised that was a mistake.

Bonnie Ross, 343 Industries' general manager, said so during her DICE presentation. She said the studio wanted to take the Halo series to another level, and that their ambitious goals would be compromised if they that to split their focus between the other aspects and polishing split screen-specific technology and mechanics. Now that they've seen how the fans reacted to this, they've decided to not make that mistake again. Ross said that the studio will include split screen in all first person Halo titles moving forward.

Is split screen still a necessity for you, or was this an example of the minority just being more vocal?
