DICE has detailed a new CTE patch for Battlefield 1 on Reddit, and it seems as if the studio aren't too pleased with the amount of grenades that get thrown about.

Resupply changes are the first to get discussed, which are "part of an ongoing effort to address excessive use of explosive gadgets and grenades." To do this, they've decided to change the way grenades resupply, the goal being to reduce the amount available when getting consistently resupplied. "Similar to some gadgets, all grenades slowly resupply when out of ammo. This resupply is greatly sped up when near an ammo crate."

The resupply timers are then provided:

Frag: 36 seconds
Light AT: 36 seconds
Impact: 36 seconds
Incendiary: 36 seconds
Gas: 27 seconds
Mini: 24 seconds
Smoke: 18 seconds

What's also been changed is that ammo for smoke, gas, and mini grenade have been halved from two to one, and ammo pouches no longer supply grenades. There's also a disclaimer that these changes are subject to tweaking, and that more gadgets should be added in the future.

The Reddit post details an extensive list of other tweaks, but it seems as if grenade spamming is the key issue. Do you think grenades are a big problem in Battlefield 1, or should players be allowed to spam away?
