As announced on the Battle.net forums, Season 3 of Overwatch wrapped up yesterday, but not to worry, as Season 4 will start next week, or March 1 to be more precise (technically Season 4 starts on February 28, but in terms of GMT it will be midnight, and so therefore March 1).

In the announcement more detail was given on Season 3 rewards: "If you completed your placement matches during Season 3, you will eligible to receive a special spray and player icon. These will be unlocked automatically when you log into your account the first time after the season ends. If at any point during the season you managed to break into the Top 500 players on your platform (and in your region), you'll receive an extra player icon and animated spray on top of the other seasonal rewards. Aside from sprays and icons, you'll also receive a number of Competitive Points based on the maximum skill rating you achieved during the season."

A breakdown of Skill Rating to Competitive Points was also provided, with Grandmaster ranks (SR 4,000 to 5,000) receiving 3,000 Competitive Points.

Blizzard also promises more information about Season 4 in the future. Are the seasons the reason why Overwatch has this persisting popularity?
