Last year at QuakeCon we were able to get our hands on a small portion of the virtual reality version of Fallout 4 (you can read our impressions by hitting this link). More recently Bethesda's Todd Howard has been talking up the upcoming VR adaptation, telling Glixel that "there's a lot of work to be done, but it's super exciting. We are doing the whole game."
Howard didn't go as far as revealing when we're going to be able to play it, but he did say the following: "You can play it start to finish right now, and the whole thing really works in terms of interface and everything."
It's not all been smooth sailing, so to speak, and the man from Bethesda went on to tell the site about the challenges of moving around the post-apocalyptic wasteland.
"Locomotion is definitely the hard part, I will admit. Given the size of the world and the amount that you're moving in Fallout 4 that part is tricky because you're doing it a lot," he said. "Right now we're doing the teleport warp thing and that's fine, but we're experimenting with a few others."
Apparently there will be alternative solutions available to players in terms of locomotion, which should be good news for those among us with sensitive stomachs.
