Some players trying to enjoy the world of Conan Exiles have found that they're unable to access official servers, and that's because FunCom has locked the servers for a number of reasons, according to Community Manager Jens Erik talking in the Steam forums:
"We have decided to East/West region lock the official servers for three reasons. The language barrier and the different playstyles is proving jarring for a lot of players. Also, the vastly different time zones between regions made offline raiding an unavoidable issue for a lot of players who would wake up to all their stuff being completely ruined."
This hasn't stopped people being displeased with the issue, however, as players from Asia, South America, and Russia are now having problems accessing servers. Erik has promised, however, that "we will be putting up servers in Asia, South America and Russia. Hopefully we'll be able to do this sometime next week."
Do you think the idea of region locking is a good one?
