Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was released, and since the film didn't go over well with either critics or its target audience, Batman star Ben Affleck's passion for the film and his upcoming appearances in the DC Movie Universe has seemingly been waning.
He recently stepped down from the director's chair on the upcoming standalone Batman movie, but now it seems he wants to go further than that, he wants out of the role entirely.
In the most recent episode of the Collider podcast, the host says that he's spoken to three separate sources who are all involved with the project in some way, and they've all confirmed that Ben Affleck wants to cancel his contract, thereby ending his part in the movie universe immediately.
Until we hear from the man himself, best to mark this one down as an interesting rumour.
