Capcom's latest iteration in the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, was a scary and gory experience from start to finish. In the role of Ethan we got to witness all kinds of morbid things, as well as a game world full of blood and body parts - at least that's what we got here in the West.
The Japanese version, however, was censored, and in a comparison video (containing spoilers) we see how a severed head is replaced by a photograph, the colour of blood being black instead of red, and so on. It's an interesting watch, as the censoring alters the tone of the game, in our humble opinion.
Are you happy you didn't have to play the censored version?
Thanks, Kotaku.
