Update

Michel Sainisch, who works with the NHTV University in Breda, contacted us to clarify that this is a student project made in collaboration with Ubisoft. According to Sainisch: "There are currently no plans for a commercial release."

Original

Matt Stenquist, a UI/UX artist working at Ubisoft's Paris studio, may have just revealed something very interesting online, as his Dribbble page seemed to show an Assassin's Creed game for VR (as picked up by AGD).

These screens don't show a lot of detail, but considering they are labelled "Assassin's Creed VR - Title Screen HTC Vive" and similar, it seems pretty convincing evidence that something may be in the pipeline. There are also menus, icons, and a UI bible, unsurprising considering Stenquist's speciality.

How would you like to see an Assassin's Creed VR game work? Because we're pretty sure a leap of faith wouldn't go well.
