Well, that was quick. It's only been a few hours since we got the first details about the upcoming PlayStation 4 system software update, and a few beta testers have already broken their non-disclosure agreements to reveal what's called Boost Mode.
To make it simple, enabling this mode on your PlayStation 4 Pro will enhance some of the games that have yet to receive a PS4 Pro update. We're talking improved visuals and/or frame-rate. Our sources at Sony have told us that not even they are sure how many games will benefit from the function, and look forward to learning what the users discover.
We've already heard that Assassin's Creed: Unity, Bloodborne, Just Cause 3, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt run better with the function enabled, so it'll be interesting to learn what other games benefits from it. What are you hoping to see improved with Boost Mode?
