Obsidian Entertainment's Kickstarter campaign for Project Eternity reached it's target ($1.1 million) almost immediately, and with a strong finish the campaign totalled $3,986,929 from 73,986 backers. It's a record for video game crowdfunding on Kickstarter (Double Fine Adventure achieved $3,336,371 from 87,142 backers) - and while the final stretch goal wasn't achieved (basically just making everything better at $4 million), it's still a massive accomplishment. The mega dungeon (see below) got 13 levels (based on the number of backers).

Had Project Eternity gotten $4 million (that's just an additional $14,000 - and it may have gotten that through PayPal), then Chris Avellone will be forced to play Arcanum (a game Tim Cain helped develop).
