Nintendo might support VR with Switch

Virtual Boy 2, perhaps?

So far Nintendo has been very hesitant about virtual reality, and there hasn't been any official announcements made about potential future support. However, we did just get a short glimpse at their possible plans thanks to an interview with Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima in Japanese newspaper Nikkei (and as translated by Serkan Toto).

Kimishima says that virtual reality might be released for Switch in the future, but for now Nintendo is holding off and is merely investigating their options. They most likely won't be interested until it's possible to "play for hours on end without problems", which in all honesty is something of a problem at the moment, with people finding themselves motion sick, being generally, uncomfortable and even getting headache.

Previosly, the Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime has declared the virtual reality is "not fun" and "not social", but might we still see the company move in that direction, one day the screen from the Switch sitting snugly in a virtual reality headset?

Virtual Boy didn't go down very well back in the day, so Nintendo is understandably cautious.

Thanks, Games Industry.
