Namco's founder Masaya Nakamura died on January 22 at the age of 91, as confirmed by Bandai Namco, a loss that is of incredible sadness to the gaming world considering his history with the company.
Nakamura established Nakamura Manufacturing in 1955 to build amusement-rides, which was then renamed to Namco. In 2005 the company then merged with Bandai, but throughout his life Nakamura did much more aside from Namco, including becoming an honorary member of the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The delay of announcement was at the request of the deceased, so the funeral could be held before the public knew about the loss. What are your favourite Namco memories?
