A post on Battle.net has detailed the Year of the Rooster event for Heroes of the Storm, which is celebrating the event alongside fellow Blizzard title Overwatch.
"Excitement awaits during this year's Lunar Festival event," the post reads. "Over the next few weeks, you'll be racing to complete new special event quests that offer handsome rewards, you'll find a few new skins and mounts in the Shop, and you may even spot a few fireworks at the end of your matches. The revelry kicks off Tuesday, January 24, lasts until February 14, and you're invited to join in the festivities."
One of the inclusions in the event is a Rooster Race each day, and "if any players on your team have not yet finished that day's quest, there's a chance that the Lunar Rooster will appear near your Core before the match begins." Event items will also be distributed near the team's starting area as well, and you must work together to collect items and return them to the rooster. Completing this race once will get you 200 gold, and completing it 25 times in the event will get you a Lunar Rooster Portrait and Lunar Rooster Mount.
The in-game shop also has items for the event, including the 2017 Lunar Festival Bundle, containing Monkey King Samuro, the Nimbus Cloud Mount, and Lunar Li-Ming, not to mention the brand new Golden Rooster Mount, costing 10,000 gold. If you don't want to buy the bundle though, you can purchase Monkey King Samuro individually as of January 31, and Lunar Li-Ming on February 7.
Which part of the event are you most looking forward to getting stuck into?
