One month ago DICE gave us a very small peek at Battlefield 1's upcoming expansion, They Shall Not Pass. Today they've been much more generous with their information.

The March expansion includes four new maps:

Verdun Heights
The opening barrage of the Battle of Verdun created massive forest fires in which we'll will fight for domination. This is an uphill battle towards the massive fortresses of Verdun. We better be careful, as the never ending artillery from the forge and "the Devil's Anvil" can make short work out of the best of us.

Fort Vaux
The first big engagement inside a fort during World War 1 takes place in the dark underworld of Fort Vaux. Here we'll fight down in the maze of dark galleries and wet stone corridors. We're definitely going to hone our shotgun and flamethrower skills for this one.

Soissons
Time to see some sunlight again. Take part in one of the biggest tank assaults of World War 1. The French 10th Army moves to take back Soissons using their powerful Saint Chamond tanks. Planes, tanks, and infantry clash in the beautiful French countryside in the early hours of a hot summer day.

Rupture
Who wouldn't love to fight on a battlefield where poppies grow over a rusty wreck from previous tank battles? It might seem calm but this maze of steel beasts provides an excellent place for those who plan an ambush.

We're also getting a new mode called Frontline. This sounds like a mix of Conquest and Rush, as we'll fight for chained control points in a tug-of-war frontline. Both teams fight for one flag at a time and when this objective is captured the action moves on to the next. Capture the enemy's HQ control point and the game turns into a Rush-style section where telegraph posts need to be attacked or defended. Then you might want to use the new Trench Raider Elite Class, as wielding a brutal Raider Club and an impressive grenade arsenal will scare your enemies senseless.

They Shall Not Pass will also introduce the French army, as well as two new vehicles: the Char 2C tank and the St. Chamond assault tank gun, not to mention the stationary gun Siege Howitzer.

They don't want to give us a release date yet, so we still have to make due with March. Is this enough content for the DLC, or would you have liked to see more out of it?
