3D was supposed to be the flagship feature of new TVs a few years ago, and games were even made to support it too, but now it's time to leave the concept behind as 4K and HDR have become the new black in this business.
Both Sony and LG have now declared that they are ending their production of 3D TVs starting this year, and we're going to have to assume more will follow. Very few new games, save for a few indies, support 3D TVs (or monitors) these days and we suspect this will pass by fairly unnoticed by most people.
Did you think 3D TVs were going to take off, or did you anticipate their eventual downfall?
