It seems like Nintendo Switch will outperform the Wii U with ease, but still there is a long way to go until reachings the heights of Wii. All this according to the analyst and reserach firm DFC Intelligence who has done a report on Nintendo Switch sales. They have come to the conclusion that Switch will sell 40 million through 2020, which basically means 10 million units per year on average.

That is faster than Xbox One, but also slower than PlayStation 4. As a comparison, Wii U has sold around a little more than three million consoles every year on average. DFC writes that the somewhat slim launch lineup will give it a slower start, but that the "demand is expected to be strong and the major issue will be whether the system can attract a broad audience starting in the holiday sales season of 2017."

Is this in the ballpark of your very own expectations for Switch sales wise?

Thanks, Games Industry.
