During tonight's Direct Nintendo unveiled a new 3DS game called Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. The game is inspired by the exclusive Japanese Fire Emblem Gaiden from 1992, and marks quite a departure from other games in the series. Playing as the game's dual-protagonists, Alm and Celica (who will also come as amiibo on launch day), we'll get to explore the free-roaming world and dungeons in the war over the contintent Valentia. According to Nintendo the game will also feature "flexible character progression" when it launches on 3DS May 19.
