Titanfall: Frontline, a competitive card game set inside Respawn's sci-fi universe, has been cancelled. The news came via a post which landed on Facebook over the weekend, where it was explained that the closed beta will be coming to an end in the next couple of days, with servers going offline on January 20:

We've learned an incredible amount in the beta test of Titanfall: Frontline, but in the end felt the experience wasn't ready to deliver the intense action-packed gameplay synonymous with Titanfall. While it's never easy to cancel a game, we're excited to take some of the concepts we saw resonate with players and build off of them in future Titanfall mobile games.

This interesting-looking card battler for Android and iOS was built around mechanics relating to the "burn cards" seen in the first game, and was made in collaboration with Particle City and publisher Nexon.
