According to a report by TMZ, former football player Lenwood Hamilton is launching a lawsuit against Gears of War due to his belief that the character 'Cole Train' is based on him.
The report claims that the physical appearances are almost exactly the same, and Hamilton has used a forensic voice examiner to compare his voice to Cole, and it's almost identical as well.
Hamilton is also allegedly suing Lester Speight as well, the linebacker from old Reebok adverts, who provided the voice-over for Cole. Hamilton claims Speight used to work with the company that Hamilton used when wrestling, and that they even talked about making a character for a video game.
Hamilton is suing for sales and profits, according to this report, so time will tell if this is successful or not.
