It looks like there won't be a lot of Nintendo Switch units to pre-order after the console is fully revealed on Friday morning. Many retailers have confirmed that they will be writing down the first names this week, but none of them are talking about how many people will be accepted.
Now, however, the official Nintendo Store in New York made a statement on Twitter that won't make fans happy: "A limited quantity of pre-orders for the #NintendoSwitch will begin on 1/13 at 9AM while supplies last at #NintendoNYC".
A couple of days before, popular Nintendo outlet GoNintendo said that a source from GameStop pointed to around 20 units for every regular store, and more for big ones.
If Nintendo manages to keep the momentum around the console, we'll possibly be facing the same shortages that made the Wii so popular, where people were so desperate to find one that it was constantly on the news.
Will you try to secure yours this Friday?
