Remember the hit late '90s sensation, the Pokémon Trading Card Game? Now it has been given a crossover with Blizzard's own card game, Hearthstone. Well, kind of.

Though unofficial, fans will appreciate the efforts made by Reddit user Corpit after they reimagined the entire first generation of Pokémon as Hearthstone cards.

While staying true to the original designs, Corpit aimed to "capture the character of each species while trying to make them unique as cards too." As with traditional Hearthstone sets, the cards vary by power level and ability.

"I try to keep myself limited to existing card mechanics and interactions while still trying to make new things with them," Corpit explained. Many evolutionary chains boast impressive stats and interesting weaknesses, which wouldn't look out of place in the game itself.

Of course this fan-made set won't ever actually see the light of day in Hearthstone. Despite not being playable, the cards are a well-realised adaption of the original Pokémon species which fans of both series will be able to appreciate. You can check out the album in its entirety here.
