One of the best things about CES is seeing all the cool technology that we may or may not get our dirty mittens on at one point or another. The worst part, naturally, is that we may be in for a lengthy wait.

Obviously, some CES visitor like the first part, but couldn't stand the latter and decided to just steal a couple of prototypes from Razer. CEO Min-Liang Tan wrote on Facebook that they have "have filed the necessary reports and are currently working with the show management as well as law enforcement to address this issue", but didn't specify what prototypes it was.

He ends his statement by writing:

"At Razer, we play hard and we play fair. Our teams worked months on end to conceptualize and develop these units and we pride ourselves in pushing the envelope to deliver the latest and greatest.

We treat theft/larceny, and if relevant to this case, industrial espionage, very seriously - it is cheating, and cheating doesn't sit well with us. Penalties for such crimes are grievous and anyone who would do this clearly isn't very smart."

What do you think is most likely an enthusiast who just couldn't wait or a competitor looking to reverse-engineer Razer's upcoming products?
