Fox Innovation Lab is teaming up again with Moving Picture's MPC VR to produce a new Virtual Reality experience based on a film, and in this case, it's the new Alien directed by Ridley Scott, who is also involved as Executive Producer.
As far as we know, it will be "a dread-inducing journey into the depths of the Alien universe". The press release says that they aim to show players "the true meaning of terror as they navigate through horrifying alien environments and a story where every decision could mean the difference between life and death."
If you didn't play The Martian VR Experience, that come out in November for HTC Vive, PlayStation VR, and Oculus Rift, and is a first person adventure where you have to complete tasks such as controlling robots, constructing solar panels, or classifying potatoes. It wasn't promotional, and costs £15.99, so we can assume the Alien VR experience will be the same.
The Alien: Covenant VR Experience has not yet a release date, but the film will debut in theatres in May. What films do you want to see move into VR?
