The Warcraft film was planned as a trilogy, but director Duncan Jones can't guarantee that it'll ever happen since Legendary Pictures has never confirmed a sequel. The film didn't perform very well in Western box offices, but Chinese viewers saved the day.

"I truly don't know. I want it to, but not up to me", said Jones on Twitter recently. The director also revealed some of the main lines of the future plot that fans of World of Warcraft would understand:

"With the orcs now in Azeroth, they learn about armor making in this new world," read one of them. "Would have seen Dalaran land in the Alterac mountains & magic proliferate as Kirin Tor try to be more open after death of Llane."

"Main orc focus would have been Go'el's imprisonment & violent bid for freedom," the summary continues. "Don't want to give too much away, as who knows... but Khadgar unleashing Pandora's Box, Lothar arc, Varian."

Jones also said that he came to understand that "you have to focus". He said in another tweet that "trying to serve too many threads is exactly the problem that got us in this position". Not a very good vibe for the future of the trilogy, but let's see what happens. Would you like to see another film?
