We didn't get a major new game in the Assassin's Creed series this year. Ubisoft is instead taking its time to create a new experience that will launch sometime late next year. Naturally the game is expected to land on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but it seems there might be another platform included as well...
It's industry insider Laura Dale (who has an amazing track record with these things) who late yesterday had the following to say about it on Twitter: "as far as I know Ubi want the next AC to hit Switch same date as other consoles yep."
Hopefully this is one rumour that turns out to be true, as it would be great news for Nintendo and its fans, especially after third-party support dwindled on the Wii U after a couple of years.
