Nintendo has filed a new trademark related to the Super Nintendo controller. This was noticed by Trademark Bot on Twitter, and it seems to be related to the actual image of the controller. What they are going to use this for remains to be seen, but after the runaway success of the NES Classic Mini, it doesn't sound too far-fetched to believe they might be doing something similar for the Super Nintendo.
