Recently we reported that the Steam Winter Sale's start date was yesterday, and now it's upon us, we've rounded up some of the best deals to tempt you to part with your money (there's no shame, we know the feeling).
Our Game of the Year last year, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, for example, is £12.49 after receiving a 50% discount, with Grand Theft Auto V also receiving a half price discount, coming down to £19.99. A more post apocalyptic open world game is also reduced to £13.19, which is Fallout 4.
If ridiculous amounts of destruction are more your thing, you'll be pleased to know that Just Cause 3 is only £9.99 after getting a big 75% price cut. If you fancy being a bit sneakier, however, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes are reduced as well, being £14.99 and £4.24 respectively.
Other games that have received 75% discount or more include Portal 2 (now only £2.99!), Borderlands 2 (now £4.99), Payday 2 (for £3.74), Civilization V (now £4.99), and Age of Empires II HD (now £3.74).
If you've been waiting for this year's releases to be reduced a little bit, however, Steam also has you covered, as Doom is reduced by 67% to be £13.19, Watch Dogs 2 is a third off and is now £26.79, and Dishonored 2 costs the same with the same price reduction. Other reduced 2016 releases include The Division, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Dark Souls III (all now £19.99), Homefront: The Revolution (now £8.99), and Hitman, with the prologue and first episode available for £5.49 while the season pass in £19.99.
